Bangalore is on the lines of becoming a world class city in
terms of regulated and sustainable urban development all across. The Bangalore
Development Authority (BDA) is operating to reshape the planning and
implementation processes to meet the international standards.
The Bangalore Development Authority of Bangalore, India, is
a governmental group and the major planning authority for Bangalore. Its
function, under the Karnataka Town and Country Planning Act of 1961, is as a
regulatory body required to prepare in the prescribed manner a Comprehensive
Development Plan. It also manages the planning and development of infrastructure,
provision of development related sites and services, the housing needs of
underprivileged citizens in Bangalore and is currently the city's largest land
developer.
If you are purchasing land or property from someone, it is
very important to find out if the BDA has already issued a notice to acquire
the property. The BDA could have issued a notice to acquire your property for
various reasons, for example, for building of a Commercial Complex, or for
putting in place a BDA Park to the public, etc. If you purchase the property
and then find out that the BDA had issued a notice to acquire your land, you
are then out of luck. Also, it is never a bad idea to engage a skilled lawyer
to verify that the NOC that has been provided to you by the builder is not
forged.
